The Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) offers grants to journalists who write stories about the environment and are struggling financially to complete a project.
The grants are designed to cover project-related travel, training, research materials, environmental testing, and other direct expenses required to complete the project.
SEJ members and non-members of any nationality can apply for grants of up to $5,000 U.S. to investigate and report on environmental issues around the globe, as long as their work is within the field of journalism.
SEJ offers grants in two categories:
- Land use issues in North America
- International open topic
You must submit an application by July 15, 2015.
