Journalists are invited to apply for a US $3,500 grant to support environmental reporting and entrepreneurial ventures around the globe.

The Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) offers grants to help journalists who are building an environmental portfolio and struggling financially to complete their projects.

The funds are designed to cover project-related travel, training, research materials, environmental testing and other direct expenses related to the completion of their project.

Both SEJ members and non-members can apply for the grants, providing their work is within the field of journalism.

The deadline is November 15, 2013.
