The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is accepting entries for the Climate Communications Innovation Fund. EJN created the Fund to support the development, adaptation and introduction of novel storytelling methods that focus on the human dimensions of climate change.
Communities which live in areas where the changing climate undermines livelihoods face a twofold challenge: a lack of capacity to ensure that their perspectives are heard, and barriers to receiving information on how to make changes.
EJN invites media outlets, networks and associations that require additional funding to submit details of the project they wish to pursue or need financial assistance with. Individuals and new ventures are also eligible.
Five projects will each receive about $10,000 U.S. in funding.
The projects should be underway within a year. Projects that can show results before the start of the COP21 Climate Summit in December, 2015 will receive particular interest.
The deadline is June 15, 2015.
