The 5th Connecting Rural Communities Africa Forum will be held in Accra, Ghana from August 17-19, 2010. It is organized by the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) and hosted by the Ghana Ministry of Communications. The event seeks to promote connectivity to accelerate development in Africa. Key topics include:
-rural community communication networks
-rural network technology optimization and economics
-local e-content generation
-public-private-peoples’ partnerships
-universal service fund initiatives to enhance rural communications
-ICT training
Registration costs for attending the forum are:
Early bird:
Members: 249 British pounds (approximately 360 American dollars or 292 Euros)
Non-members: 319 British pounds (approximately 462 American dollars or 350 Euros)
Prices after 17 July:
Members: 349 British pounds (approximately 505 American dollar or 410 Euros)
