Grants from the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation support young professionals in the cultural and media fields under 31 years of age (under 36 for booksellers, photographers, and TV scriptwriters) to realize their projects. Much more than financial aid, these grants are a real steppingstone for the continuation of their career.

French-speaking journalists, documentary filmmakers, and photographers can apply.

There are three types of grants:

  • The Photographers’ Grant: EUR 10,000 (USD 10,716), for photographers aged 35 or younger;
  • The Print Journalists’ Grant: EUR 10,000, for reporters under 30; and
  • The Documentary Filmmakers’ Grant: EUR 15,000 (USD 16,074) for documentary filmmakers under 30.

Applicants do not have to be nationals of a French-speaking country but must be able to present their project in French, both orally and in writing.

The deadline to apply is June 7, 2023.
