The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) is accepting applications for the Mo Ibrahim Foundation Leadership Fellowship Programme 2021.
The goal of the program is to help young African professionals develop leadership skills, gain knowledge of the United Nations, and have a better understanding of the socio-economic challenges facing African countries.
If selected, Fellows will contribute to the commission’s policy advisory work from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Fellows will work in this capacity for a maximum of 12 months and will be paid an annual stipend of $100,000.
Eligible applicants must be nationals of a country that is a member of the Economic Commission for Africa, under the age of 40, with seven years of relevant work experience, and a master’s degree in any discipline relevant to the work of UNECA.
Applications must include a cover letter, a UN personal history profile, a copy of academic certificates, and three letters of reference.
