The International Centre for Journalists (ICFJ) is accepting applications for a reporting contest to celebrate exceptional journalism during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To apply, journalists are invited to submit an original story on COVID-19 published between June 1, 2020 and November 7, 2020.
Eligible applicants must be members in the Global Health Crisis Reporting Forum.
The categories being considered are:
- science and health;
- transparency, crime, and corruption; and
- inequality, business, and economics.
Three winners will be chosen in each category and awarded cash prizes. The top three articles in each category will receive $1,000 US, $500 US, and $250 US.
Applications can be made in English, Spanish, Portuguese, or French.
The deadline to apply is Nov. 8, 2020.
