The University of Witswatersrand (WITS Journalism) is now receiving grant applications for the Africa-China Reporting Project, which aims to contribute to international discussions on Chinese engagement in African countries.

Journalists are invited to submit their resume and samples of their published work, as well as an outline of their story idea, a budget for estimated costs, where the article will be published, and an assessment of the risks associated with the story. These documents should be submitted in either MS Word or PDF format.

If an application is accepted, the grant will range between $300 and $1,500 and cover the cost of travel, accommodation, and daily expenses.
