The African Agricultural Science Week is celebrating its fifth anniversary. This year, the event will be held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, from July 19-24.

The African Agricultural Science Week raises awareness of the important contribution of agricultural research to development in Africa. It provides a week-long opportunity for networking, and features exhibits, information booths and poster displays from international organizations.

The highlight of the event is Burkina Faso Day, when the host country showcases its agricultural innovations in order to raise awareness of how agricultural research improves poverty, promotes food security, and protects the environment. This will be held in the middle of the week.

Individuals can register until July 10. Fees are as follows:
African nationals based in Africa: 50 US dollars
International research institutions based in Africa: 100 US dollars
Advanced international institutions based outside Africa: 120 US dollars
