Mobile phones will soon be used to help test soil fertility in Tanzania, as a Kenyan technology company extends its business across the border.
The mobile phone application provides farmers with information on soil fertility. Farmers use a soil testing kit connected to their mobile phone. The information from the soil fertility test can be shared through the application. The company is also marketing apps which provide farmers with data on weights and measurements of farm products.
