    In our first story, we profile a young dairy farmer from Malawi. Robert Chilunga started with little, but now has nine dairy cows and a successful dairy business, employing three workers. He shares his story below.

    Coffee farmers in Uganda have been struggling to maintain their livelihoods amidst rising costs and dropping farm gate prices. A few weeks ago, some regions of the country received heavy rainfall. Flash flooding led to landslides in coffee-growing areas, killing residents and wiping out coffee plantations.

    Rising maize prices have affected poultry farmers in Kenya, as maize is a key ingredient in chicken feed. Some farmers have scaled back production. Read how others are finding alternative feeds.
