Malawian radio station shut down and staff arrested for election coverage

    Reporters Without Borders reports that a privately owned opposition radio station in Malawi was raided and shut down by police on May 19. According to reports, two journalist presenters, a technician, and a driver from Joy Radio were also arrested on the accusation of “violating electoral law.”
