Achieving gender equality is an integral part of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. UN Women’s new flagship report, “Turning promises into action: Gender equality in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” contains detailed information on achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) for women and girls around the world.
The report shows how gender equality is central to the achievement of all 17 SDGs, explains gender data gaps and challenges for monitoring, provides concrete guidance on policies to achieve SDG targets, and sets an agenda for strengthening accountability for gender equality commitments at global, regional, and national levels.
