Science journalism award
The American Association for the Advancement of Science is offering the Kavli Science Journalism Award for excellence in science journalism. Established in 1945, the award promotes better public understanding of science through informed reporting.
A panel of science journalists will select the winners. A gold award of US$5,000 and a silver award of US$3,500 will be presented in each of the following categories: print, audio (radio or podcast), video, online, and children’s science news.
Submissions are open to reporters around the world. Independent news organizations are encouraged to apply. Entries must have been originally published, broadcast, or posted online between July 2017 and July 2018.
Applications must be submitted online before August 1, 2018.
