UN fellowship available for journalists from developing countries

Young journalists from around the world can apply for a fellowship to cover the United Nations General Assembly in New York, US.

The Reham Al-Farra Memorial Journalists Fellowship Program provides 15 journalists per year with an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the work of the UN, and to visit prominent media outlets in New York.

Candidates must be working journalists aged 22 to 35. The 2018 fellowship will take place Sept. 16 to Oct. 6. Participants will receive airfare and a daily allowance.

Since 1981, 581 journalists from 168 countries have participated in the fellowship program.

The deadline to apply is May 7, 2018.
