Journalists aged 30 and younger who work in developing countries can compete for the award.
Three finalists will be flown to London for the gala award night in November, along with a host of other potential award winners and leading figures from the world of journalism.
Journalists working in countries with a Gross Domestic Product of less than US $20,000 per capita are eligible. (See list of eligible countries here.)
Entrants should submit a portfolio of three published pieces of work (in print, audio, video, multimedia, or a combination of all four) produced in the 12 months preceding Aug. 18.
Entries can be in any language, but should be accompanied by a verbatim English-language translation.
