The Global Investigative Journalism Conference is held once every two years. This year, the conference will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, from Nov. 16-19. The event will feature panels, workshops, and networking sessions.

The Global Investigative Journalism Network and the Wits University Journalism Programme are offering fellowships to established and promising journalists to attend the conference. Full-time print, online, television, video, radio, and multimedia journalists from developing or transitioning countries are invited to apply.

Fellows will receive round-trip airfare to Johannesburg, accommodation for four nights, breakfast and lunch on conference days, and entrance to the conference and award dinner.

Following the conference, fellows will be required to produce a story or give a presentation in their home country based on what they learned at the conference.

The application deadline is May 15.
